The Storm Wardens Project

A group of talented Warhammer 40K model painters and bloggers got together to build an awesome, powerful and beautifully painted Space Marine Army, based on a new chapter: The Storm Wardens.
Readers can donate money to the project and have a chance at receiving this amazing army. The collected money will be gifted to Doctors without Borders.
This web page highlights the finished models of the army and all the extras created and donated by the awesome companies that have helped us with this. This site will be taken down when the project is over.

More Prizes come rolling in!

As we get closer to the final days of the Great Storm Wardens Charity Project, we have had a few more prizes arrive on our door steps. All of these will be added to the Grand Prize, making it truly epic!

The good folks at Mechanicon, an East Coast event held in November, have offered up a ticket to the 40K GT at the event. I believe this event is one of the qualifiying events for GW's North American GT to be held in Las Vegas next year. This ticket is worth $125! Should the winner of the Grand Prize be unable to attend, we will draw a new "Mechanicon" winner until we find someone who can. Thanks to Tony and the crew!

In a similar spirit, the guys at Adepticon have offered up a Weekend Convention Badge for their show next April (2011), along with a spot in the 40K Gladiator Tournament on the Friday and the 40K Championships on the Sunday! The Championships are also a qualifying event for GW's North American GT to be held in Las Vegas next year. This ticket is worth almost $100! Should the winner of the Grand Prize be unable to attend, we will draw a new "Adepticon" winner until we find someone who can. Thanks to Hank and the Council!

And supplied by the Lionel Miranda, owner of X Planet Games in Ontario, Canada, we have a "Storm Wardens Paint Set". This set contains almost all of the Citadel Paints used to paint the Storm Wardens for this project, as well as four Citadel brushes. The value of this is set is over $75!

The set contains: Boltgun Metal, Chainmail, Mithril Silver, Badab Black, Skull White, Chaos Black, Adeptus Battlegrey, Regal Blue, Enchanted Blue, Shining Gold, Scab Red, and Blood Red. The brushes are: Large Flat Drybrush, Large Brush, Standard Brush, and Fine Detail Brush.

Basically the winner of the Grand Prize will be able to start painting more for their army straight away. Not that they'll need to, but you never know what else you'd like to add ; )

So there you have it, another $300 (US) added to the Grand Prize!

Remember, the last day for contributions is Sunday July 18, and the Grand Prize will be drawn on Sunday July 25. So head on over to the right hand column and contribute what you can.
